School Pool
A mature twelve-acre spring fed gravel pit situated just outside Faversham off the
Oare Road. A mixed general coarse fishery containing Roach, Rudd, Tench to 8lbs,
Bream to 12lbs, Perch, Eels, Pike to 20lbs and Carp to 30lbs plus. Depths vary between
3 - 10 feet with plenty of underwater features. Ample car parking but a club key
is required to gain access to the main car park and the toilet on site.
Bysingwood Lake
Bysingwood lake is a six-acre gravel pit situated off Bysingwood Road west of Faversham.
Predominately a carp fishery with fish to 20lbs plus, but starting to become more
of a mixed fishery with Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd and Pike to be caught. Depths vary
depending on rainfall, you will currently find 3-6 feet. Car parking is allowed around
the lake but access to the main lake area requires a club key.
Bracher Pools, Oare
Two small lakes making up approximately 2-3 acres of water. The original bigger pool
contains some Carp, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Bream, Perch, Gudgeon and a few Crucian Carp.
This pool has a healthy weed growth and depths up to 8-9ft.
The newly developed lake made up of the two smaller pools and merged in with a new
area did contain Rudd, Tench and some Crucian Carp. This has now also been stocked
with Roach, more Rudd, Crucian Carp, Skimmer Bream, Small Chub and Tench a few Perch
and some Bream to 3lb+. The lake has an average depth 5-8 feet. These lakes are only
accessable to FAC members.
Willow Pool
This is a newly constructed lake, located within the School Pool grounds, of approximately
1.5 acres, that became available to club members from 1 June 2006. The lake has an
average depth of 4-6ft with a deeper area of 6 – 8ft. The lake has been stocked with
small Mirror, Common, F1 and Ghost Carp, Roach, Tench, Skimmer Bream and some Barbel.
Match weights of over 80lbs have been recorded with 20/30lbs of fish easily achievable
in a pleasure session.
